BestSeal SS152
A waterproofing solution based on modified sodium silicate
Advantages:
Low viscosity, allowing rapid and deep penetration into material surfaces.
Does not form a film, allows water vapor transmission, therefore no peeling, abrasion, algae, or mold formation, ensuring long-term durability throughout service life.
Enhances waterproofing performance, surface hardness, and abrasion resistance.
Long-lasting activity, continuously self-healing microcracks formed during service life.
Does not alter the color, condition, or aesthetic appearance of the material surface.
Simple and easy application using common tools such as sprayers, rollers, and brushes.
Non-toxic to applicators and environmentally friendly.

A waterproofing solution based on modified sodium silicate
BestSeal SS152 is an “inorganic biological” waterproofing solution based on modified sodium silicate with high activity, capable of penetrating and crystallizing inside concrete surfaces without forming a film, providing long-term durability throughout the service life of the structure.
In its free state, BestSeal SS152 always exists in the form of highly active SiO microcrystals with high energy. When sprayed onto concrete surfaces (or surfaces made from hydraulic binders), BestSeal SS152 rapidly and deeply penetrates into the material through capillaries, pores, and microcracks. Upon contact with free Ca(OH)₂ and CaO molecules in a moist environment (H₂O), the highly active SiO microcrystals quickly undergo a hydration reaction to form durable C-S-H crystals with strong bonding properties. The resulting C-S-H crystals fill and seal capillaries, pores, and microcracks inside the concrete surface, making the concrete denser, stronger, and more waterproof.
The unreacted highly active SiO microcrystals of BestSeal SS152 remain inside capillaries, pores, and microcracks in the form of “spores,” continuing to react whenever they come into contact again with Ca(OH)₂ (formed during cement hydrolysis and hydration) and water to generate additional C-S-H crystals. This process continues throughout the entire lifespan of the concrete, giving the concrete a “self-healing” capability while continuously improving hardness, abrasion resistance, and waterproofing performance over time.

Application instruction
SURFACE PREPARATION:
The surface to be waterproofed must be dry and free from dust, grease, oil, or old waterproofing layers. Loose particles and poorly bonded materials must be properly removed.
Concrete should ideally be cured for at least 28 days, and moisture content should be as low as possible to allow BestSeal SS152 to deeply penetrate into the concrete surface at the highest possible dosage.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Application:
Use a spray bottle, sprayer, brush, roller, etc. to evenly distribute BestSeal SS152 over the entire concrete surface to be waterproofed at a coverage rate of 5 ÷ 7 m²/liter.
Depending on the structure condition, application environment, and available tools, select the most suitable application method.
Use a trowel or stiff brush to repeatedly spread and scrub BestSeal SS152 back and forth to facilitate deep penetration into the concrete surface.
When BestSeal SS152 begins to coagulate (becomes gel-like), spray a moderate amount of clean water onto the surface and continue scrubbing repeatedly with a trowel or stiff brush to re-disperse the active SiO microcrystals for further penetration into the concrete surface. Continue this process until no coagulated BestSeal SS152 remains visible on the concrete surface.
CLEANING:
Clean application tools and equipment with clean water immediately after completion of work and before the material hardens.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
BestSeal SS152 is an alkaline solution and may cause skin corrosion or irritation (especially for sensitive skin) upon prolonged contact.
Protective gloves, masks, and safety goggles should be worn during application.
In case of contact with skin, eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before seeking medical attention at the nearest healthcare facility for timely and proper treatment.
