Application instruction
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface to be waterproofed must be clean, sound, and free from oil, grease, dirt, moss, mold, excess cement, paint, old waterproofing materials, and other contaminants, etc.
Surface defects (cracks, voids, etc.) must be repaired and patched using suitable specialized repair products from Bestmix (consult the technical department).
Maximum surface moisture content of 5%.
For surfaces with high water absorption or high moisture: A coat of BestPrimer EP602 primer must be applied before applying BestSeal PU600 Safe&Strength.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Mixing:
- The product is pre-mixed; simply stir well before use.
Application:
Using a brush, a short-nap roller (or a pressure spray gun), apply BestSeal PU600 Safe&Strength firmly and evenly onto the properly prepared surface. The application must ensure that the entire surface area to be waterproofed is evenly covered with BestSeal PU600 Safe&Strength.
When applying the second coat, it should be carried out in a direction diagonal to the first application in order to minimize air entrapment between the two material layers during the application work.
Note:
- Do not apply in rainy conditions. If it rains during application, stop the work immediately and promptly cover the freshly applied area to protect it from direct exposure to rainwater.
- Do not apply BestSeal PU600 Safe&Strength, or a primer must be used, in areas where moisture is rising.
- For surface areas regularly subjected to mechanical impact or UV radiation during use, a layer of cement-sand mortar mixed with BestLatex R114 Eco or BestLatex R126 Saving should be applied (72 hours after the final coat) to protect the BestSeal PU600 Safe&Strength layer from mechanical-physical impacts or UV radiation that may damage the surface structure of the material.
- For roof slab surfaces, a slope must be created before waterproofing application.
