SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface to be waterproofed must be clean, hard, and sound, and cleaned of grease, dirt, moss, excess cement, and other contaminants, etc.

Surface defects (cracks, voids, etc.) must be repaired and patched using suitable specialized repair products from Bestmix (contact the technical support department for advice).

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Mixing the product:

- The product is pre-mixed; simply stir well before use.

Application:

- BestSeal PU416 Polic can be applied using a brush, short-nap roller, or a suitable spray machine.

Primer layer: Dilute BestSeal PU416 Polic with 10 - 15% clean water (mix well) to use as a primer, or use BestBond AC301 (when applying directly onto ceramic tile, glass, etc. surfaces) at a consumption of 0.25-0.35 kg/m².

Top coat: apply onto the dried primer layer at a consumption of 0.3-0.6 kg/m² per layer.

- To ensure waterproofing performance, BestSeal PU416 Polic must be applied in at least 2 layers perpendicular to each other so that the material completely covers the surface to be waterproofed. The waiting time between two layers is 8-48 h depending on weather conditions (ambient temperature, air humidity, wind flow, etc.).

- A third layer may be applied when there are high requirements for waterproofing performance.

Note:

- Do not apply in rainy conditions. If it rains during application, stop the application immediately and promptly cover the freshly applied area to protect it from direct exposure to rainwater.

- For surface areas regularly subjected to mechanical impact or UV rays throughout their service life, a layer of cement-sand mortar mixed with BestLatex R114 Eco or BestLatex R126 Saving should be applied (72 hours after applying the final layer) to protect the BestSeal PU416 Polic layer from mechanical-physical impacts or UV rays that damage the surface structure of the material.

- For roof slab surfaces, a slope must be created before applying waterproofing.
