BestSeal PU416 is a waterproofing compound, one component, chemical base polyurethane-acrylic hybrid with high elasticity.

BestSeal PU416 will create a continuous membrane when curing, flexible with high elasticity, and prevent permeable water.

Applications

BestSeal PU416 is used to waterproof items ( new or old) such as:

  • Outer wall, terrace, roof, toilet floor,... 

  • Swimming pool, water tank, bridge surface, drainage pipe,...

  • Bottom, wall, wall of the basement, concrete structures underground,...

  • Sealing the hole of the tile roof, concrete cracks, joints, joint brick,...

Application instruction

Surface preparation:

  • The surfaces must be cleaned, and free from dirt, mud, grease, moss, and mold, before applying.

  • Moreover unstable adhesions or old coatings and waterproofing materials must be completely removed by appropriate
    mechanical means.

  • Surface defects must be properly repaired.

  • Users could use a high-pressure hose for final cleaning.

Application:

  • Primer layer: Dilute BestSeal PU416 with 10% ÷ 15% clean water (mix well) to apply primer or use BestBond AC301 (in case of coating on ceramic tiles, or glass...) with the rate of 0.25 ÷ 0.35 kg/m²

  • Coating layer: Using a brush, short-bristled roller (or pressure nozzle) apply strongly and evenly BestSeal PU416 on the surface after the primer has dried at the norm of 0.3 ÷ 0.5 kg/m²/layer depending on the requirements, require waterproofing (minimum 2 layers).

  • When applying the second layer, it is recommended to do it in the diagonal or perpendicular direction to the first
    application to minimize the air entrainment process between the two layers of material as well as ensure the complete distribution of the material on the whole surface.

  • Users can apply the 3rd layer when there is a high requirement for waterproofing ability.

Note:

  • Stir the product at a slow speed (to avoid air bubbles) to ensure homogeneity before use.

  • Should apply at least 02 layers, waiting time between two layers from 8 to 48 hours depending on weather conditions (ambient temperature, air humidity, wind flow...).

  • Do not apply in rainy or very hot conditions (> 35°C).

  • For surface contact frequently to mechanical impact, a cement-sand mortar coat mixed with BestLatex R114 or BestLatex R126 should be applied as directed (72 hours after application of the final coat) to protect BestSeal PU416 from mechanical impact damages the surface structure of the material.

Cleaning:

  • Clean tools and equipment immediately after applying, before the mixture’s hardening. In the case of hardening, use the right mechanical methods to clean tools.

Safety:

  • The product can cause an allergic reaction to sensitive skin with long contact

  • Should wear gloves, masks, and glasses while applying the product. In case of contact with the eyes, nose, and mouth ... should be washed with clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and correct adjustment.
