Application instruction

SURFACE PREPARATION:

  • The substrate must be dry, free from dust, contaminants, oil, grease, cement laitance, and any poorly bonded old coatings that may affect adhesion must be removed.

  • For substrates that are weak, subject to high movement, or have high residual moisture content: Apply BestPrimer AC409.
Note: Primers are used to enhance the durability of sealed joints. Primers do not replace proper surface cleaning procedures or improve the strength of the substrate.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application:

  • Insert backer rod as required by the joint design, apply primer if necessary.
Load BestSeal MSDura into a suitable caulking gun and apply sealant into the joint, ensuring full contact with both sides of the joint.
Fill the joint completely and avoid air entrapment during application.
Masking tape should be applied along both sides of the joint when using BestSeal MSDura to prevent staining, and removed immediately after application (while the sealant is still wet).

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Can be painted with common façade coating systems. However, compatibility tests should be conducted prior to full application.

  • Color may change when exposed to chemicals, high temperatures, or UV; however, product performance remains unaffected.

  • Do not use BestSeal MSDura on glass surfaces, bitumen, natural rubber, EPDM rubber, or in areas with oil leakage, plasticizers, or solvents that may affect the product.

  • Do not use BestSeal MSDura for sealing swimming pools. Not suitable for areas under high water pressure or prolonged water immersion. Suitable for well-ventilated areas.

  • Do not allow BestSeal MSDura to come into contact with isocyanate compounds, solvent-based cleaners, release agents, or solvents.

CLEANING:

  • Use BestThinner SC01 to clean tools immediately after use and before the material starts to cure. Once cured, use appropriate mechanical methods to clean tools.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

  • BestSeal MSDura may cause allergic reactions on sensitive skin upon prolonged contact. Protective gloves, masks, and safety goggles are recommended during use.

  • In case of contact with eyes, nose, mouth, ... rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention at the nearest healthcare facility.

  • Dispose of the product in accordance with local environmental regulations.
