Waterproofing & Fillings

Solvent-based hydrophobic Silanes/Siloxanes waterproofing

  • BestSeal MH50S is a compound based on modified Silanes/Siloxanes developed with Bestmix’s advanced technology.

  • When BestSeal MH50S penetrates into the substrate surface, after drying it creates a highly water-repellent effect, preventing water molecules from penetrating through pores, capillaries, or microcracks existing within the material.

Application instruction

SURFACE PREPARATION:

  • The surface to be waterproofed must be dry, clean, and free from dust, grease, or any old waterproofing layers.

  • Loose particles or poorly adhered materials must be completely removed.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Application:

  • Use a brush, roller, low-pressure spray equipment (or direct immersion into the solution) to apply one coat of BestSeal MH50S so that the material flows downward in streaks approximately 200 ÷ 250 mm long.

  • Depending on the substrate structure, site conditions, and available equipment, select the most suitable application method.

  • Depending on the water absorption rate (or porosity) of the substrate, the soaking time or consumption rate may vary to achieve the desired penetration depth of BestSeal MH50S.

  • BestSeal MH50S should only be applied once. Preliminary testing should be conducted for each type of material to determine the appropriate consumption rate.

  • BestSeal MH50S reacts and bonds with compounds on the surface, within pores, capillaries, and microcracks of the substrate, forming a transparent, colorless, highly water-repellent film on the surface.

  • BestSeal MH50S achieves optimal waterproofing performance after drying for at least 14 days from the time of application.

  • BestSeal MH50S must not be applied during rain unless adequate shelter is provided.

Notes:

  • Use BestSeal MH10S only on final finished surfaces.

  • Do not use BestSeal MH10S on surfaces that will later require finishing with water-based materials, as it prevents bonding between layers.

  • The container must be tightly sealed after use.

  • Diluted BestSeal MH10S should be used as soon as possible and should not be stored for extended periods.

CLEANING:

  • Clean tools and application equipment immediately after completion using a suitable solvent.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

  • BestSeal MH10S contains solvents and is flammable. Keep away from heat sources, sparks, and open flames.

  • Gloves, masks, and safety goggles must be worn during application.

  • In case of contact with skin, eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse immediately several times with clean water before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
