Waterproofing & Fillings

Multi-Purpose plugging mortar based Epoxy-Cement, three components.

BestSeal EP757 is a multi-purpose patching mortar for repair or surface waterproofing and damp-proofing, in trowel-applied form, three-component epoxy-based, durable in alkaline environments. BestSeal EP757 adheres well, seals capillaries or tiny cracks and forms a continuous film, making it very effective at preventing dampness and water ingress.

Applications

Suitable for materials such as: concrete, natural stone, artificial stone, masonry/render mortar, silicate brick, etc., with a thin coat of 1÷2 mm for the following purposes:

  • Finishing skim coat for render surfaces that need waterproofing.

  • Repairing honeycombed or uneven concrete surfaces.

  • Sealing joints and patching concrete cracks.

  • Damp-proofing, waterproofing and surface reinforcement for items such as: civil and industrial enclosure walls, damp-proof walls, walls, basement bottoms, elevator pits, tunnels, bridge abutments, swimming pools, water tanks, wastewater treatment tanks, water-supply pipes, warehouse floors, factory floors, toilet floors, etc., before applying an epoxy- or PU-based protective topcoat.

Advantages

  • Simple application with high effectiveness.

  • Bonds firmly with all material surfaces.

  • High resistance to chemicals and mechanical abrasion.

  • Fast strength development.

  • Non-toxic, odorless and environmentally friendly.

Application instruction

Surface preparation:

  • The surface must be dense and free of oil/grease and dust; it must be dampened with clean water but with no standing surface water before application.

  • For porous or friable surfaces, apply a BestPrimer EP702 coat before applying BestSeal EP757.

Mixing:

  • Add component B into A and mix well, then gradually add component C at the correct ratio using an electric mixer or a pneumatic mixing rod at 500 - 600 rpm until the mixture is homogeneous (lump-free).

  • The minimum mixing time is 03 minutes but may be longer until the required homogeneity is achieved.

Application:

  • Use a trowel, steel float or suitable tools to spread the material evenly over the surface and work it back and forth several times to ensure it fills hollows and voids and is distributed evenly across the whole surface, with a layer thickness no greater than 2 mm per coat (≈ 4.20 kg/m²/coat). At least two coats should be applied for waterproofing/damp-proofing, with the next coat applied perpendicular to the previous one.

Notes:

  • Do not use any mixture that has exceeded its allowable working time.

  • For a smooth, neat finished surface, use a sponge float or a wet brush to smooth over the surface after troweling.

Cleaning:

  • Use clean water and soap to clean tools immediately after use and before the mixture starts to cure.

Safety guidance:

  • All three components are non-hazardous. However, the material is alkaline and may cause irritation to sensitive skin on contact. Wear gloves, a mask and safety goggles during application.

  • If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.

  • Dispose of excess product per local regulations.
