SURFACE PREPARATION

• The surface to be waterproofed must be clean, hard, and sound, and cleaned of grease, dirt, moss, excess cement, and other contaminants, etc.

• Surface defects (cracks, voids, etc.) must be repaired and patched using suitable specialized repair products from Bestmix (contact the technical support department for advice).

• Saturate the entire surface with clean water but do not allow water to pool on the surface.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Material preparation: The cement must be well selected, of fine powder type, free from lumps, and within its shelf life.

Mixing:

First add BestSeal B12 Cemmix into a clean container of suitable capacity. Then gradually add the corresponding amount of powdered cement while the mixing paddle is still rotating (rotation speed of 400 - 500 rpm) until the mixture is homogeneous (no longer lumpy).

Application:

Use a brush, short-nap roller, or pressure spray gun to apply the product evenly over the entire surface to be waterproofed at an average consumption of 1.0 - 1.5 kg of mortar/m² per layer. A minimum of 2 layers should be applied, with the subsequent layer applied perpendicular or diagonal to the previous one (if using a brush) after the previous layer has dried.

Note:

The waterproofed surface must be protected from direct rainwater for a minimum of 4 hours from the time of application.

The allowable application time of the product is 90 minutes from the time of mixing with cement.

To adjust the shade (gray color) of the product, white cement can be mixed in at a suitable ratio, whereby the higher the proportion of white cement, the lighter (gray) the color of the waterproofing layer.
