Application instruction
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface to be waterproofed must be clean, sound, and free from oil, grease, dirt, moss, excess cement, and other contaminants.
Surface defects (cracks, voids, etc.) must be repaired and patched with suitable specialized repair products from Bestmix (contact the technical support department for advice).
Saturate the entire surface with clean water, but do not allow water to pond on the surface.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Mixing:
- Pour Component A (liquid) into a clean mixing container with a minimum capacity of 15L, then slowly add Component B (powder) while mixing with a low-speed paddle mixer (300-400 rpm) until a homogeneous, bubble-free mixture is obtained. Be sure to scrape down any material adhering to the sides of the mixing container into the mixture being mixed to prevent the material from drying out.
- Mixing time: minimum 5 minutes, or longer until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Application:
- BestSeal AC407 Premier can be applied with a short-nap brush or a suitable spraying machine.
- To ensure waterproofing performance, BestSeal AC407 Premier must be applied in at least 2 coats, with the subsequent coat applied perpendicular to the previous coat after the previous coat has dried. The waiting time between the 2 coats is 1-2 hours depending on weather, temperature, and ventilation conditions.
Note:
- Avoid mixing the product in partial portions; a measuring scale must be used to ensure the mixing ratio complies with the manufacturer's recommendation. Machine mixing is recommended.
- When used as a sealing, repairing, or patching compound for surface defects, the mixing ratio is
A/B = (0.75 - 0.80)/3.0 (by weight).
- Saturate the application surface with clean water and remove excess water before application.
- If applying under conditions of strong sun and wind, the moisture-curing conditions must be strictly observed, as with other cement-based products, to avoid rapid water loss that would damage the quality of the waterproofing surface.
- Do not use any portion of the mixture that has exceeded its working time and has begun to cure.
- Do not add any other material to BestSeal AC407 Premier, including clean water.
