BestSeal AC407
Flexible polymer cement water-proofing membrane, two components
Advantages:
Good adhesion to many different material types.
High movement and elasticity, overcoming cracking caused by temperature changes or crack movement (up to 0.3 mm).
Durable and long-lasting for outdoor use and frequent water contact.
Allows the surface to release water vapor, so no pressure builds up to peel the material.
Simple to apply by brush or spray gun, and easy to cure, etc.
Non-toxic and does not pollute water sources (including drinking water) on direct contact.
Non-hazardous to applicators and environmentally friendly.

Applications
Used to waterproof items such as:
Gutters, rooftops, balconies, planter boxes, roof slabs, etc., before finishing with other materials.
The interior of swimming pools, domestic water tanks, floors, walls and bottoms of basements, toilet floors, manholes, etc., before tiling or finishing the surface with other materials.
Columns, beams, abutments of overpasses and wharves, etc.

Application instruction
Surface preparation:
Substrate conditions:
The surface to be waterproofed, sealed or repaired must be dense; impurities, debris, oil/grease and dust, etc. must be cleaned as required. Surface material layers with poor adhesion or no strength must be completely chipped off and treated properly before applying BestSeal AC407.
Surface treatment:
If the surface has cracks wider than 5 mm, they must be pre-treated by chasing out to at least 10 mm wide with a minimum depth of 1.5 times the chase width. The chase cross-section is U-shaped. Use compressed air or a high-pressure water jet to clean the chase surface of dust and burrs, etc. before using suitable dedicated BestBond mortars to fill the chase.
If the surface has continuous running water leakage, chase out the leak hole to a minimum depth of 1.5 times the chase mouth diameter and plug the leaking water flow with BestSeal CE201 before applying BestSeal AC407.
Mixing:
Before application, components A and B must be thoroughly mixed at the correct ratio with an electric mixer at low speed (300 ÷ 400 rpm). Pour component A first into a clean plastic (or steel) container of at least 15 liters, gradually adding component B while mixing, until the mixture is homogeneous. The minimum mixing time is 5 minutes but may be longer until the required homogeneity is achieved.
When used as a sealing/repair/patching compound for surface defects: the A/B mixing ratio is (0.75 ÷ 0.80)/3.0 (by weight).
Application:
Use a stiff-bristle brush or high-pressure spray gun to apply the mixed material onto the surface to be waterproofed (each coat no thicker than 1 mm). Apply the next coat after the previous one is surface-hardened (about 01 ÷ 02 hours, depending on the temperature, weather and ventilation during application). When used for sealing, repairing or patching, first brush a coat of component A onto the surface, wait for it to surface-dry, then use a steel trowel to apply the mixture.
If applying in sunny and windy conditions, strictly follow moisture-curing requirements like other cement-based products once the material surface begins to dry.
Notes:
Before application, the material surface must be dampened with clean water, but without leaving standing puddles.
At least two coats of BestSeal AC407 must be applied to waterproof the surface.
The second coat is applied perpendicular to the first.
Do not use any mixture that has exceeded its working time and started to cure.
Do not add any other materials into BestSeal AC407.
Cleaning:
Use water to clean tools immediately after use and before the mixture starts to cure. Then wash again with clean water and soap. Once the mixture has cured, use suitable mechanical means to clean the tools.
Safety guidance:
Both components are non-toxic and non-flammable.
BestSeal AC407 may cause irritation to sensitive skin on prolonged contact. Wear a mask, gloves and safety goggles when using the product.
If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
