Application instruction
Surface preparation:
The surface to be waterproofed must be clean, hard and solid, and cleaned of oil, grease, dust, moss/mold, excess cement and other impurities, etc.
Surface defects (cracks, voids, etc.) must be repaired and patched with suitable dedicated Bestmix repair products (contact the technical support team for advice).
Saturate the entire surface with clean water, but do not leave standing puddles on the surface.
Mixing:
The product is pre-mixed; just stir well before use.
Application:
BestSeal AC400 can be applied with a brush, short-nap roller or a suitable spray machine.
To ensure waterproofing, BestSeal AC400 must be applied in at least 2 coats perpendicular to each other so the material fully covers the surface to be waterproofed. The wait time between the 2 coats is 4 - 24h depending on weather, temperature and ventilation conditions.
Notes:
For highly absorbent surfaces, when applying the first coat, dilute BestSeal AC400 with about 5 - 10% clean water (by weight) to increase the material's penetration deeper into the surface.
For roof-slab surfaces, a slope must be created before applying the waterproofing.
Do not apply in rainy conditions. If it rains during application, stop immediately and promptly cover the freshly applied area to protect it from direct rainwater.
For surface areas regularly subject to mechanical impact during service, apply a cement-sand mortar topping (24 - 48 hours after the final coat) to protect the BestSeal AC400 layer from mechanical impacts that damage the material's surface structure.
If no protective mortar layer is applied, the material must be cured for at least 7 days before use; BestSeal AC400 self-cures with air and does not need water to dampen the surface after application.
Cleaning:
Clean tools and equipment with clean water immediately after finishing the work and before the material cures.
Safety guidance:
BestSeal AC400 may cause irritation to sensitive skin on prolonged contact. Wear a mask, gloves and safety goggles when using the product.
If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
Dispose of excess product at locations designated by local regulations.
