  • BestRetard GS320V is a specialized admixture that retards the setting and hardening process of the concrete surface, in order to produce a rough, exposed-aggregate finished concrete surface or to create an optimal bonding surface for subsequent material layers.

Viscous liquid, clear to pale yellow.

Consumption:

0.15 ÷ 0.25 litre/m². However, the actual consumption rate depends on each specific

application case.

Shelf life:

12 months from the date of manufacture.

  • Architectural concrete with a rough, textured surface or exposed natural aggregate, etc.

Application instruction

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application:

  • Use a brush, roller, or spray nozzle to apply the product directly onto clean formwork. Apply one thick coat and allow it to dry for 2 – 4 hours.

  • BestRetard GS320V will retard the setting of the concrete surface to a depth of 4-7mm, depending on the thickness of the applied material layer and the properties of the concrete.

  • Formwork should be removed as soon as possible once the concrete has reached the formwork-stripping strength (usually 24 hours after concrete placement).

  • The soft cement layer remaining on the formwork should be cleaned off immediately using a brush or a high-pressure water jet.

Note:

  • Do not dilute or mix any other product or chemical with BestRetard GS320V when using it.

  • Do not allow the product to be spilled or come into contact with other fresh concrete areas unnecessarily.

  • Because the retarding performance and retarding duration of the product depend on many factors during use, such as the concrete mix design, cement content, water/cement ratio, type of cement used, ambient temperature, etc., trials must be carried out for each specific application condition to achieve the desired results regarding the depth of exposed aggregate, the surface washout time, etc.
