Applications

  • Used for patching, repairing and reconstructing to finish floors, bases, walls, ceilings and partitions, etc. that are honeycombed or damaged by aggressive attack, impact or mechanical abrasion, etc. during service.

  • Restores flatness for new surfaces that have not reached the required flatness or smoothness during construction.

  • Used for all surface types in areas with light to medium loads such as factory floors, parking lots, swimming pool bottoms, water tanks, precast components, etc.

Application instruction

Surface preparation:

  • The surface to be repaired must be treated as required; adhered patches or weak-strength concrete surfaces must be completely chipped off by suitable mechanical means.

  • Ensure the surface is not contaminated with oil, grease or similar materials.

  • Use a high-pressure water jet to wash off impurities and dust before application. If the surface is dry, dampen it with clean water.

Mixing:

  • Slowly add the BestRepair CE500 powder into a pre-measured container of clean water (mixing water ratio is 13 ÷ 15% of the powder weight, about 3.25 ÷ 3.75 liters of clean water per 25 kg), continuously stirring with an electric mixer at 300 ÷ 400 rpm for about 05 minutes until the mixture is lump-free and homogeneous as required.

Application:

  • Use a brush to firmly apply the BestBond EP752 bonding slurry (see the BestBond EP752 product instructions) over the entire prepared surface as above. Apply the BestRepair CE500 mortar, thoroughly mixed with water, onto the surface while the BestBond EP752 bonding coat is still wet. Ensure the BestRepair CE500 repair mortar is firmly compacted onto the surface to achieve the highest density of the applied mortar; the maximum thickness of the BestRepair CE500 repair layer must not exceed 20 mm. If the thickness exceeds 20 mm, apply in multiple layers and ensure the previous layer is fully hardened.

Notes:

  • To achieve the highest mechanical properties, the applied product must be cured per the proper procedure, like other cement-based products. Minimize water loss from evaporation using available materials such as water-soaked burlap, plastic covering sheets, or curing compounds BestCure AC015 or BestCure SS015.

Cleaning:

  • Clean tools with water after application and before the material cures.

Safety guidance:

  • BestRepair CE500 may cause irritation to sensitive skin on prolonged contact. Wear a mask, gloves and safety goggles when using the product.

  • If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
