Water-based mold release compound

  • BestRelease WB503 is a water-based organic compound, used as a mold release agent in product molding work or cement concrete casting. It prevents the molded material and the mold from sticking together, allowing builders to demold easily.

Composition:

Water-based polyolefin.

Appearance:

Viscous liquid, milky white color.

Consumption:

For metal and plastic molds: 20 – 30 m²/litre

For wooden molds: 10 – 15 m²/litre

Dilution ratio:

1 litre of BestRelease WB503 diluted with 8-12 litres of water.

Packaging:

05; 25 litres/can; 210 litres/drum.

Storage:

Cool, dry place, ambient temperature 5°C - 35°C.

Shelf life:

24 months from the date of manufacture.

Applications

  • Used as a mold release agent for molds made of metal, plastic, and wood (formwork), etc., in concrete casting work.

Application instruction

SURFACE PREPARATION

  • The mold surface must be thoroughly cleaned before application.

  • Old mortar or concrete patches must be completely chipped off.

  • Dust, dirt, and mud must be washed or wiped clean.

  • Oil, grease, or old material layers must be cleaned off with suitable solvents when using BestRelease WB503 for the first time.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application:

  • Use a brush, roller, or spray nozzle to evenly distribute BestRelease WB503 onto the mold surface before carrying out the product molding stage.

Note:

  • Do not apply excessive BestRelease WB503, in order to avoid BestRelease WB503 mixing into the molded material, which would reduce the quality of the molded material as well as waste material.

  • Do not allow BestRelease WB503 to contact the steel reinforcement of the product to be cast. Protect the freshly applied BestRelease WB503 layer from rain. Once dry, BestRelease WB503 can withstand weather effects and will not be washed away in the rain.
