  • BestRelease S101 is an organic compound derived from solvent-based polyolefins, used as a mold release agent in product molding work or cement concrete casting. It prevents the molded material and the mold from sticking together, allowing builders to demold easily.

Appearance:

Liquid, light yellow.

Consumption:

  • For metal and plastic molds: 20 – 30 m²/litre (roller, brush method); 30-45 m²/litre (spray method).

  • For wooden molds: 10 – 15 m²/litre (roller, brush method); 15-22 m²/litre (spray method).

  • Consumption depends on the roughness and absorbency of the formwork.

  • These figures are theoretical and do not account for additional material due to surface porosity, surface type, variation, or loss.

Storage:

Cool, dry place, ambient temperature 5°C - 35°C.

Shelf life:

24 months from the date of manufacture.

Application instruction

SURFACE PREPARATION

  • The mold surface must be thoroughly cleaned before application.

  • Old mortar or concrete patches must be completely chipped off.

  • Dust, dirt, and mud must be washed or wiped clean.

  • Oil, grease, or old material layers must be cleaned off with suitable solvents when using BestRelease S101 for the first time.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application:

  • Use a brush, roller, or spray nozzle to evenly distribute BestRelease S101 onto the mold surface before carrying out the product molding stage.

Note:

  • Do not apply excessive BestRelease S101, in order to avoid BestRelease S101 mixing into the molded material, which would reduce the quality of the molded material as well as waste material.

  • BestRelease S101 should be applied at least 15 minutes before molding.

  • Do not allow BestRelease S101 to contact the steel reinforcement of the product to be cast. Protect the freshly applied BestRelease S101 layer from rain. Once dry, BestRelease S101 can withstand weather effects and will not be washed away in the rain.
