Applications

  • BestPrimer EP703 is used in special cases in damp areas, freshly poured concrete (after 24 hours) or oil/grease-contaminated areas that cannot be dried, where moisture cannot be effectively blocked, or where penetrated oil/grease cannot be cleaned off, such as basement floors and walls, water reservoirs, swimming pools, old factory floor surfaces, warehouses, garages, etc.

Advantages

  • Good adhesion to all surfaces with high moisture or oil/grease contamination, etc.

  • Good penetration, enabling deep bonding into the material.

  • High resistance to aggressive attack, chemicals and abrasion.

  • Easy to apply with tools such as brushes and short-nap rollers, etc.

  • Environmentally friendly.

Application instruction

Surface preparation:

  • The surface must reach the minimum strength (compressive strength ≥ 20 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 1.5 MPa).

  • The base surface must be flat, dense and free of standing surface water; ponded areas must be wiped dry with a clean cloth.

  • Impurities, debris, dust, oil, grease, moss/algae and mold, etc. must be cleaned as required.

Coating system:

  • For highly absorbent and friable surfaces: apply at least 2 primer coats.

  • For dense surfaces with medium roughness: only 1 coat is needed.

  • For power-floated surfaces: grind to roughen or treat the surface with BestCleaner FA before applying BestPrimer EP703.

Mixing:

  • Before application, components A and B must be thoroughly mixed at the correct ratio with a mixing rod at 300 ÷ 400 rpm until homogeneous. Apply the material immediately after mixing. Because the workable time is short, plan to cool the two components before mixing, or divide into smaller batches suited to the actual application time.

Application:

  • Use a stiff-bristle brush or short-nap roller to firmly apply the BestPrimer EP703 mixture over the entire surface at 0.15 ÷ 0.25 kg/m²/coat, depending on surface condition.

Notes:

  • The work area must be well-ventilated; avoid rain while the material has not fully cured.

  • Do not use material that has exceeded its working time.

Cleaning:

  • Use BestThinner SC01 to clean tools immediately after use and before the paint starts to cure.

Safety guidance:

  • Both components are non-hazardous but flammable (especially component B) and may cause irritation to sensitive skin. Wear gloves, a mask and safety goggles during application.

  • If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.

  • Keep away from fire, electric sparks and heat sources during application.
