Applications
BestPrimer EP702 has low viscosity and high penetration, so it is used to create an interface primer between surfaces to be protected and epoxy-based BestCoat protective paints, increasing adhesion strength.
BestPrimer EP702 can be applied to concrete floors and bases, cement render, fiber-cement cladding panels, epoxy mortar, etc., for factories, warehouses, parking garages, etc.

Application instruction
Surface preparation:
If the surface is concrete, the compressive strength must be ≥ 20 MPa and tensile strength ≥ 1.5 MPa. The base surface must be flat, dense and dry. Cracks and defective spots must be treated, repaired and patched per the proper procedure. Impurities, debris, dust, oil and grease, etc. must be completely removed.
Coating system:
For highly absorbent and friable surfaces, add 10% clean water by weight for the first coat and apply at least 2 primer coats before applying epoxy paints of the BestCoat range.
For flat, dense surfaces with medium roughness, only one coat of BestPrimer EP702 is needed after the surface has been cleaned by suitable means.
For power-floated surfaces previously treated with a hardener, treat the surface with BestClean FA or roughen it before applying BestPrimer EP702.
Mixing:
Add component A into component B at the specified ratio. Use an electric mixer or a dedicated mixing machine (300 to 400 rpm) to mix for about 3 minutes or longer until homogeneous. Let the material stand for about 05 minutes and re-mix before application.
Application:
Use a brush, short-nap roller or pressure spray gun to apply BestPrimer EP702 evenly over the entire surface to be coated at a coverage of 0.10 ÷ 0.25 kg/m²/coat. When applying the second primer coat or subsequent finish coats, ensure the first coat is completely surface-dry (not tacky).
Notes:
Do not exceed a coverage of 0.40 kg/m² under any circumstances.
The work area must be well-ventilated; avoid rain while the material has not fully cured.
Do not use material that has exceeded its working time.
Cleaning:
Use clean water and soap to wash tools before the material cures.
Safety guidance:
Both components are non-hazardous and non-flammable but may cause irritation to sensitive skin. Wear gloves, a mask and safety goggles during application.
If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
