BestPrimer AC409

BestPrimer AC409 is used in special conditions such as damp areas, newly cast concrete (after 24 hours), or locations where drying is not feasible and moisture cannot be effectively controlled, such as basement slabs and walls, tanks, drainage channels, swimming pools, existing industrial floors, warehouses, garages, etc.

SURFACE PREPARATION

• The substrate must meet the minimum strength requirements (compressive strength ≥ 20 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 1.5 MPa).

• The surface must be level, sound, and free from standing water. Any ponded areas must be dried using a clean cloth.

• All contaminants such as debris, dust, oil, grease, algae, and mold must be properly removed.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Coating system:

• For highly absorbent or weak substrates: apply at least 2 coats.

• For dense substrates with moderate roughness: apply 1 coat.

Mixing:

• Add component B into component A according to the specified ratio. Use an electric mixer or suitable mixing equipment (300–400 rpm) to mix for approximately 3 minutes or longer until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. Apply immediately after mixing.

Application:

• Apply BestPrimer AC409 using a stiff brush or short-nap roller with firm strokes over the entire surface at a coverage rate of 0.10–0.15 kg/m² per coat (depending on substrate condition).

• The second coat should be applied perpendicular to the first coat.

• Ensure the previous coat is fully dry before applying subsequent layers.

Notes:

• Do not use material that has exceeded its pot life.

• Ensure adequate ventilation during application and work in the direction of airflow.

• Do not smoke during application.

CLEANING

• Use BestThinner SC01 to clean tools immediately after use and before the material begins to cure.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Both components are classified as hazardous and flammable and may cause allergic reactions on sensitive skin. Wear protective gloves, masks, and safety goggles during application. Avoid direct skin contact.

• In case of contact with eyes, nose, mouth, etc., rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention at the nearest healthcare facility.

• Keep away from fire, sparks, and heat sources during application.
