Application instruction
SURFACE PREPARATION:
The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned (free from water, dust, debris, sand, etc.) and any uneven areas or voids must be properly repaired and leveled.
Horizontal substrates should preferably be concrete or other dense, solid materials (avoid porous or lightweight substrates).
Structural elements such as concrete piles, formwork, or support panels on vertical surfaces must be securely fixed to ensure adequate load-bearing capacity.
Notes:
Ambient application temperature must be above 5°C.
BestMem GroundAD 110 should be installed by qualified and experienced applicators.
At overlaps, ensure surfaces are clean and use a roller to apply sufficient pressure to achieve proper adhesion.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Application on horizontal surfaces:
Unroll the membrane with the polyethylene side facing the substrate, and the adhesive protection layer facing upward to bond with the poured concrete.
For longitudinal overlaps: remove the protective release liner (approx. 80 mm width) from both membrane sheets and bond them together. Use a roller to eliminate air bubbles and voids.
For transverse overlaps: clean the overlap area and use the supplied adhesive to bond both the underside (160 mm width) and the top side (120 mm width) of the joint.
Always remove the protective liner before pouring concrete onto the membrane.
Application on vertical surfaces:
Fix the membrane to the wall using metal battens, with the polyethylene side facing the wall and the adhesive protection layer facing outward (toward the concrete).
Fasteners should be spaced 30–60 cm apart depending on load requirements; the batten should be positioned at least 10 mm away from the overlap edge.
The top edge of the membrane must be sealed to the wall using the supplied adhesive.
Always remove the protective liner before placing concrete against the membrane.
SAFETY
BestMem GroundAD 110 is non-toxic and non-flammable.
However, standard construction safety practices must be followed during installation, particularly regarding fire prevention and site safety.
