Application instruction
SURFACE PREPARATION
The concrete surface must be clean, hard, sound, and free from grease, dust, moss, excess cement, and other contaminants.
If the surface has low roughness, it must be roughened using suitable mechanical methods before applying the product.
Saturate the entire surface with clean water but do not allow water to pool on the surface.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Waterproofing slurry coat or bonding layer between old and new concrete:
Mixing ratio: 01 litre BestLatex R114 Eco + 01 litre water + 04 kg cement = 3.3 litres of slurry.
Application: Add the cement into the pre-measured mixture of BestLatex R114 Eco and water, and stir with a mixing paddle until homogeneous. Apply the bonding slurry coat at a thickness of 1 - 2 mm onto the previously water-saturated surface, and pour the new concrete or apply the waterproofing mortar layer while the cement–BestLatex R114 Eco slurry is still wet.
Waterproofing mortar layer:
Mixing ratio: 01 litre BestLatex R114 Eco + 3 litres water + 6.5 kg cement + 19.5 kg sand = 30 kg mortar.
Application: Apply the waterproofing mortar layer while the waterproofing slurry coat is still wet.
Note: BestLatex R114 Eco must always be used together with cement and should not be used on its own as an independent bonding and waterproofing agent. The sand used must be clean, free from impurities or dirt, and have a suitable particle grading. The cement must not be lumpy or past its expiry date.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The product may cause allergic reactions on sensitive skin upon prolonged contact. Wear a mask, gloves, and safety goggles when using the product.
In case of contact with eyes, nose, mouth, etc., rinse immediately several times with clean water before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
Avoid contact with food and household items. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of excess product in accordance with local regulations.
