Application instruction
Surface preparation:
The substrate must be clean, hard and solid, free of oil, grease, dust, moss/mold, excess cement and other impurities.
Metal surfaces must be free of rust, oil and grease.
The surface must be treated beforehand to stop any water leakage (if present).
Absorbent surfaces must be surface-saturated with water to avoid localized water loss that reduces the material's flow during application.
Mixing:
Mixing ratio: BestGrout CE600 Hi-Strength is mixed with water at the optimal ratio of 100% powder + 13% water (or 3.25 liters of water per 25 kg bag of powder).
Using a paddle mixer, slowly add the powder, sprinkling it evenly into a clean container holding the pre-measured water until a homogeneous, bubble-free grout is obtained; maintain the mixer at 500-600 rpm, minimum mixing time about 3 minutes. Scrape down any dry powder stuck to the container walls into the mixing batch so the grout is mixed evenly and does not stick.
Application:
Gently stir the freshly mixed grout with a trowel to release air bubbles, then immediately pour it into the prepared formwork continuously to maintain the pressure needed for the material being poured, avoiding air entrapment in the poured grout mass.
Notes:
The formwork must be checked and ensured leak-free throughout application and before the mixture cures.
Do not use material that has exceeded the allowable working time.
The product is intended for structures with a minimum gap of 8 mm.
The curing procedure must be strictly ensured, as with other cement-based products.
For large structures thicker than 60 mm, to save material and reduce the heat of hydration, add carefully selected larger aggregates such as gravel, 1x1 stone, etc. Add larger aggregate at 50-100% and keep the maximum mixing water no more than 14% of the original BestGrout CE600 Hi-Strength weight. Trials must be conducted before use.
Cleaning:
Clean tools with water after application and before the material cures.
Safety guidance:
BestGrout CE600 Hi-Strength is alkaline and may cause irritation to sensitive skin on prolonged contact. Wear a mask, gloves and safety goggles when using the product.
If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
