BestFast AS206

Rapid-setting accelerator additive for sprayed mortar and concrete

Advantages:

  • Easy to control setting and hardening time depending on the dosage used.

  • Does not reduce the design strength of the sprayed concrete or mortar.

  • Increases the adhesion of sprayed mortar and concrete to structural walls and ceilings.

  • Minimizes concrete rebound and spillage, helping to save costs.

  • Alkali-free, non-irritating to the skin, and does not pollute water sources.

  • Chloride-free, preventing corrosion of reinforcing steel and steel fibers.

Application instruction

Dosage

  • The typical dosage of BestFast AS206 is 2-6% by weight of cement.

  • The dosage depends on the requirements for setting and hardening time and on conditions such as the application method, cement type, cement content, water/cement ratio, surface condition, and the application environment.

  • It is recommended to test the product beforehand to determine the appropriate dosage for each specific application.

Reference dosage

  • Reducing concrete rebound or applying to vertical walls: 3-5%.

  • Requirement for early strength or spraying onto ceilings: 4-6%.

Application

  • The effectiveness of BestFast AS206 depends on the content, type, and storage time of the cement.

  • The effectiveness also depends on the temperature of the sprayed concrete, the application area, the substrate condition, and the sprayed concrete application method.

  • In the dry-spray process, the properties of BestFast AS206 depend significantly on the amount of water added during spraying.

  • BestFast AS206 is added to the concrete using a dosing device for powder materials.

Application notes / limitations

  • If BestFast AS206 turns into a liquid state, the container and dosing pump line must be thoroughly cleaned before storing and pumping the product.

  • Metal parts in direct contact with BestFast AS206 must be made of stainless steel to prevent corrosion.

  • When using sulfate-resistant cement, the strength of the mortar or concrete may develop more slowly.

  • Product performance may vary depending on the specific application conditions at each site.
