Application instruction
SURFACE PREPARATION:
If the substrate is concrete, the compressive strength must be ≥ 20 MPa, tensile strength must be ≥ 1.5 MPa, and it must be suitable for the actual service load of the floor.
The substrate surface must be flat, dense, dry, and mechanically prepared by grinding or shot blasting before application of BestCrete PU500 SR.
Cracks and defective areas must be properly treated, repaired, and patched according to procedure. All contaminants, debris, and dust must be thoroughly cleaned.
If the substrate is metal, oil stains and rust must be completely removed and cleaned using BestThinner SC01.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Coating System:
One primer coat of BestCrete PU500 SL with thickness ~ 1 mm.
One finishing coat of BestCrete PU500 SR with thickness as required by the design.
Note:
BestCrete PU500 SR industrial flooring is highly tolerant to residual substrate moisture and can be directly applied on 7-day-old new concrete, or on sound existing old concrete with high moisture content without primer if a waterproof membrane exists within the structure.
Epoxy damp-proof membranes (DPMs) should not be used because they soften under high temperature conditions and may lead to floor failure.
Mixing:
Pre-mix Component A, then add Component B and mix thoroughly. Add Component C (according to the specified ratio) and mix with a paddle mixer or low-speed mechanical mixer (300 – 500 rpm) until homogeneous. Total mixing time is approximately 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Note: Partial mixing is not recommended. Always mix the entire pre-packaged set.
Application:
Pour the mixed material onto the corresponding floor area in successive strips approximately 180 ÷ 200 mm wide. Immediately use a suitable notched trowel to spread evenly and compact the material to the required thickness, then use a specialized roller to assist compaction and create a uniform surface finish.
Note: BestCrete PU500 SR must be applied by professionally trained applicators certified by the manufacturer.
CLEANING:
Use a dry cloth and BestThinner SC01 for cleaning before the product hardens.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
BestCrete PU500 SR may cause allergic reactions to sensitive skin after prolonged contact. Protective masks, gloves, and safety goggles should be worn during use.
In case of contact with eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical center for timely and proper treatment.
Avoid contact with food and household utensils. Keep out of reach of children.
Dispose of excess material in accordance with local regulations.
