Application instruction
Surface preparation:
If the substrate is concrete, compressive strength ≥ 20 MPa and tensile strength ≥ 1.5 MPa, and it must suit the actual service loads of the floor. The floor surface must be flat, dense and dry, and mechanically roughened by grinding or shot-blasting before applying BestCoat PU800HF. Cracks and defective spots must be treated, repaired and patched according to the proper procedure. Impurities, debris and dust must be cleaned as required. For metal surfaces, oil, grease and rust must be completely removed and cleaned with BestThinner SC01.
Coating system:
One primer coat of a suitable epoxy- or polyurethane-based BestPrimer, or one priming coat of BestCoat PU800MF approximately 1 mm thick.
One coat of BestCoat PU800HF at the thickness required by the design.
Note: The BestCoat PU800HF industrial floor is extremely tolerant of residual surface moisture and can be applied directly onto 7-day-old fresh concrete, or onto good-quality old concrete with high moisture without a primer if the structure includes a waterproof membrane. Do not use epoxy damp-proof membranes (DPMs) as they soften at high temperatures and will lead to floor failure.
Mixing:
Pre-mix component A, add component B and mix well, then add component C (at the specified ratio) and mix with a stirrer or a dedicated slow-speed mixer (300 - 500 rpm) until homogeneous; total mixing time is about 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Note: Do not subdivide the quantity; mix the entire pre-packaged set.
Application:
Pour the mixed material onto the corresponding surface area in successive strips about 180 ÷ 200 mm wide, then immediately use a suitable notched trowel to spread and compact the material to the required thickness, and use a dedicated roller to help compact and create a uniform material surface.
Note: BestCoat PU800HF must be applied by professional, trained crews certified by the manufacturer.
Cleaning:
Use a dry cloth and BestThinner SC01 to clean before the product cures.
Safety guidance:
BestCoat PU800HF may cause irritation to sensitive skin on prolonged contact. Wear a mask, gloves and safety goggles when using the product.
If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
Avoid letting the product contact food or household items. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of excess product at locations designated by local regulations.
