Self-leveling epoxy, high strength, two components

BestCoat EP710 is a high-strength, self-leveling, epoxy-based paint that is chemical-resistant and water-resistant, creating a rough, anti-slip surface that is well-suited to frequently wet surfaces. BestCoat EP710 is made from epoxy resin and hardener, silicate minerals that reinforce hardness, and specialized chemical additives, giving floor surfaces optimal flatness, surface texture, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance and load-bearing capacity.

Applications

BestCoat EP710 is used to coat directly onto concrete or metal floor and base surfaces for high-end areas such as:

  • Sterile rooms, hospital operating rooms, laboratories, etc.

  • Pharmaceutical and veterinary medicine processing plants, etc.

  • Food, seafood and agricultural product processing plants, etc.

  • Electronics, optics and precision-equipment assembly plants, etc.

  • Chemical and disinfectant plants, etc.

  • Canteens, kindergartens, etc.

Advantages

  • High self-leveling and anti-slip capability.

  • Excellent load-bearing capacity, chemical resistance and mechanical abrasion resistance.

  • Meets microbiological, food-safety and pharmaceutical standards, as well as GMP and HACCP standards.

  • Compressive, flexural, tensile and adhesion strengths develop quickly (10 days).

  • Easy to clean and scrub, resistant to microorganisms and mold, etc.

  • Easy to maintain, repair and patch when needed; environmentally friendly.

Application instruction

Surface preparation:

  • If the substrate is concrete, compressive strength ≥ 20 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 1.5 MPa. The base surface must be flat, dense and dry.

  • Cracks and defective spots must be treated, repaired and patched according to the proper procedure. Impurities, debris and dust must be cleaned as required. For metal or wood surfaces, etc., oil, grease and rust must be completely removed and cleaned with BestThinner SC01.

Coating system:

  • One primer coat of BestPrimer EP701, BestPrimer EP702 or BestPrimer EP703.

  • One self-leveling finish coat of BestCoat EP710 at the thickness required by the design.

Mixing:

  • Pre-mix component A well, then add component B at the specified ratio and mix thoroughly with a stirrer or a dedicated slow-speed mixer (300 - 400 rpm) for about 3 minutes or longer until homogeneous. When subdividing the quantity, stir component A well first.

Application:

  • Pour the mixed material onto the corresponding surface area in parallel strips 200 ÷ 300 mm wide, and use a suitable notched trowel to spread the material evenly to the required thickness. Use a dedicated spiked roller to assist leveling and remove all air bubbles.

  • Note: The work area must be kept free of dust and protected from insects, and well-ventilated throughout the time the material layer is still wet.

Cleaning:

  • Use a dry cloth, water and soap to clean before the product cures.

Safety guidance:

  • The product is non-hazardous and non-flammable. However, wear gloves, a mask and safety goggles during application.

  • If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
