Application instruction

Surface preparation:

  • If the substrate is concrete, compressive strength ≥ 20 MPa, tensile strength ≥ 1.5 MPa. The base surface must be flat, dense and dry. Cracks and defective spots must be treated, repaired and patched according to the proper procedure. Impurities, debris, dust and grease, etc. must be completely removed.

Coating system:

  • One primer coat of BestPrimer EP701, BestPrimer EP702 or BestPrimer EP703 suitable for the base surface moisture.

  • One self-leveling finish coat of BestCoat EP709 at the thickness required by the design.

Mixing:

  • Add component B into component A at the specified ratio. Use an electric mixer or a dedicated mixing machine (300 to 400 rpm) to mix the material for about 3 minutes or longer until the mixture is homogeneous.

  • Note: When subdividing into smaller portions, stir component A well before weighing.

Application:

  • Pour the mixed material onto the corresponding surface area in parallel strips 200 ÷ 300 mm wide, and use a suitable notched trowel to spread the material evenly to the required thickness. Use a dedicated spiked roller to assist leveling and remove all air bubbles.

  • Note: The work area must be kept free of dust and protected from insects throughout the time the mixture has not yet cured.

Cleaning:

  • Use a dry cloth and BestThinner SC01 to clean before the product cures.

Safety guidance:

  • BestCoat EP709 may cause irritation to sensitive skin on prolonged contact. Wear a mask, gloves and safety goggles when using the product.

  • If splashed into the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.

  • Avoid letting the product contact food or household items. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of excess product at locations designated by local regulations.
