Applications
BestBond EP759 is used in special cases in damp areas, freshly poured concrete (after 24 hours) or areas that cannot be dried out or where moisture cannot be effectively blocked, such as: basement floors and walls, reservoirs, water channels, swimming pools, old factory floor surfaces, warehouses, garages, etc.
Advantages
Good adhesion to all surfaces with high moisture or damp conditions.
High penetration, bonding deep into the substrate.
High resistance to chemical attack, chemicals and abrasion.
Easy to apply with common tools such as a brush, short-nap roller or pressure spray.
Non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
Application instruction
Surface preparation:
Concrete must reach a compressive strength ≥ 20 MPa and tensile strength ≥ 1.5 MPa.
The substrate must be flat, dense and sound, with no free water on the surface; ponded areas must be wiped dry with clean cloths.
Impurities, debris, dust, grease, moss, mould, etc. must be properly cleaned off.
Application procedure:
Bonding system:
For highly absorbent and friable surfaces: 0.20 ÷ 0.25 kg/m².
For dense surfaces with medium roughness: 0.15 ÷ 0.20 kg/m².
For trowel-finished surfaces: roughen the surface and rinse with clean water before applying BestBond EP759.
Mixing:
Add component A into component B and mix with a slow-speed paddle (300 ÷ 400 rpm) until homogeneous; let the mixture stand for about 5 minutes, then remix before application.
Application:
Use a pressure spray, short-nap roller or stiff-bristle brush to vigorously apply BestBond EP759 over the entire surface to be bonded at the required rate (depending on surface conditions).
Wait until the BestBond EP759 layer becomes transparent (but still wet) before applying the overlying material.
Notes:
If the BestBond EP759 bonding layer dries out (no longer tacky), apply a fresh coat before placing the overlying material to ensure adhesion between the two layers.
Do not use material that has exceeded its allowed open time.
Cleaning:
Use clean water and soap to clean tools before the mixture cures.
Safety:
Both components are non-hazardous and non-flammable.
Component B may cause irritation to sensitive skin on prolonged contact. Wear gloves, a mask and safety goggles during application.
In case of contact with the eyes, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water several times before going to the nearest medical facility for timely and proper treatment.
